Pattern | Aiaya … Fingerless Mitts

Fingerless mitts/gloves are easily one of the quickest knitting projects to complete!
I wanted some inspiration for a quick filler project (QF project). I’m on my cardigan binge at the moment and that takes alittle while to complete, so to keep me going I need these are smaller projects that are portable, and that I know I’ll complete without too much drama :)
I love orange, and this mini pair of fingerless mitts was just adorable!
I loved it so much, I thought I should make my own … I figure it’s autumn and getting cooler, highly portable and instantly gratifying (as it would take no time to whip up).
So ….. Tadah!! It’s all knit up and it was quicker than I initially anticipated and at this very second keeping my hands warm as I complete this blog entry :). My verion is slightly longer and covers the knuckles (I’m slightly Utilitarian like that – I think knitwear should keep on warm), but pattern can easily be modified with less textured rows for those who want a more mini, trendier fingerless mitten.
This is easily a beginners project, provided you have the following skills down pat. If you would like to knit this too download “Aiya” and knock yourself out!
– Knitting in the round
– Knowledge of knit (k), purl (p) & knit through back of stitch (ktb)
– Longtail Cast On, Backward loop Cast On & Binding off
